**Textura da Estrela Red** Textura da Estrela Red is a truly characteristic wine that reflects its genuine terroir and “sense of place.” It comes from three different vineyard parcels, all located in Vila Nova de Tazem (a sub‑region of Serra da Estrela). The vines are between 25 and 60 years old, planted on granite soils, and have been in the process of converting to organic certification since 2020, with production never exceeding 4.5 tonnes per hectare. In 2021, the blend consisted of Jaen (40 %), Touriga Nacional (30 %), and Alfrocheiro (30 %). **Vinification** This is a low‑intervention wine featuring short remontage (brief re‑fermentation) in the first days of fermentation, followed by a post‑fermentation maceration that delivers great complexity and elegance. The 2021 vintage was naturally fermented in a wooden tank, with 30 % of the entire bunch included, and then aged for 30 days in the tank.
