This Tim from La Rosa certainly seems to have been a spoiled child – ten months in new French oak, carefully cellared in private bodegas, and capped off with a remarkable 94/100 from James Suckling. The grapes, of category A, were harvested with meticulous attention to the dramatic topography of the Douro, boasting views of Valedo Inferno and Lamelas, delivering a vibrant acidity and mineral intensity. A testament to the fact that patience – and the right terroir – truly are the keys to a genuinely memorable wine. Wonderful with grilled fish or shellfish.
