From the very beginning, our work has focused on locating old vines in the most authentic and least explored corners of the Douro, where new stories could be told through wine. It all started at the foothills of Serra do Reboredo (1,000 m above sea level), in Paredes da Beira, the highest point in the Douro. Surrounded by abundant granite outcrops, the area features sandy granite soils interspersed with quartz veins, sits between 700 and 1,000 m in altitude, and lies on the slopes of the Rio Távora. It boasts an enviable heritage of century‑old vines that have remained untouched over time and have been tended by hands through generations of hard work. From here come wines of great freshness, character, and identity! Our aim is always to bring out the best that the vine offers, respecting its history, tradition, and the essence of its people.
