Titan of Douro Fragmentado Blend II red is a wine made from century-old vines planted between 750 and 850 metres above sea level on slaty‑granite soils. After hand‑selecting, destemming and foot‑treading in a stone mill, the wine ages for 32 months in French oak barrels. It displays a deep colour with amber hues and a complex aroma of black fruit, chocolate, licorice, juniper and smoke. On the palate it is full‑bodied, fresh, and remarkably persistent. This wine is a blend of vintages, comprising 80 % of 2015, 2016 and 2017 harvests, and 20 % of the 2018 vintage. Luís Leocádio is a passionate Diriunean oenologist who loves the authenticity of Portuguese wine. With an approach that marries tradition and innovation, he created the Titan brand, expressing his personal vision of the Douro, Távora‑Varosa and Beira Interior regions. Wines from Titan are produced from old vines at altitude with minimal intervention, reflecting freshness, elegance and identity, revealing the unique character of native varieties and the terroir that gives them life.
