The work from the very beginning has always focused on seeking out old vines in the most genuine and least explored corners of the Douro, where new stories could be told in the form of wine. It was at the foot of Serra do Reboredo (1,000 m above sea level), in Paredes da Beira, the highest point in the Douro, that it all began. Surrounded by an abundance of granite outcrops, the area boasts sandy granite soils interspersed with quartz veins, an altitude ranging from 700 to 1,000 m, located on the slopes of the Rio Távora, and holds an enviable heritage of century‑old vines that have remained untouched over time and are tended by hand through generations of hard work. From here come wines of great freshness, character and identity. The aim has always been to enhance the best the vine can give, respecting its history, tradition and the essence of its people.
