This "Titan de Távora Varosa" is a wine that doesn’t shy away. Produced with a remarkably relaxed approach, the grapes – hand-picked in 20kg boxes – clearly benefited from a gentle nudge towards full maturity. The fermentation in French oak barrels, coupled with a lengthy 24-month aging, has bestowed upon it a complexity reminiscent of lime and lemon, with a subtle hint of brioche and toasted almond that’s quite invigorating. On the palate, its power and creaminess linger with a tenacity that pleasantly surprises. It’s fantastic with grilled fish or a fine sheep’s cheese.
