Bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, as expected for their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that normally reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle its aromas can evolve in different ways. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product's quality, given that it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, as this helps release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure you do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which an older wine tends to develop. (Illustrative image)
