Morgon is an appellation located in the Beaujolais region of Burgundy, dominated by a hill called Côtedu Py, from which this wine takes its name and comes directly from a slope of that hill. Its distinctive soil of decomposed slate gives the region’s wines unique aromas that many French winemakers sum up in one word: “morgonne.” It offers excellent value, delivering liqueur‑like notes and a remarkable potential for bottle aging.
