This Turra certainly had a bit of a playful experiment – those tropical notes were a delightful surprise! Thankfully, the Alvarinho stepped in to lend a touch of elegance. The “sur lie” fermentation, with the batonnage, undoubtedly added to its character, though the precise impact of that batonnage remains a charming mystery. It’s a remarkably creamy wine with a surprising freshness and an acidity that boldly defies the usual expectations of Vinho Verde. A perfect match would be with some freshly caught white fish, perhaps a seafood rice – let's see if its complexity holds up!
