This V. De Virgo rosé from the Alentejo is delightfully mischievous – it seems to have been spending a little too long admiring the champagne shelves! Despite its promise of red grapes like Aragonez, it’s remarkably fresh and vibrant. The acidity, reminiscent of the Serra de São Mamede, beautifully balances the red fruit flavours of fresh strawberries and raspberries. A fantastic pairing would be with grilled fish and a simple tomato and basil salad.
