This Alentejo wine, spearheaded by the Catra grape, certainly doesn't pull any punches. You get a delightful tension between a restrained fruit and a vibrant acidity – very much in keeping with the region's character. It’s a wine that demands a good grilled fish or a hearty pork stew to truly appreciate its strength and, frankly, rather elegant restraint.
