This wine, hailing from the wonderfully secretive Vale Zias, genuinely surprised me. The description “vibrant complexity” feels a little overused, but it’s entirely justified by the wine’s lively acidity, driven by predominantly Touriga Nacional and Trincadeira grapes. The terroir of Lisbon imparts a wonderfully earthy note, as if the very rock itself is engaging in conversation. A perfect match for a classic Bacalhau à Brás – a dish that deserves a wine with this much grace.
