Casal de Vale Pradinhos is an agricultural estate spanning 450 hectares, founded in 1913 and owned by the Pinto de Azevedo family ever since. The wines crafted here blend indigenous varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Malvasia Fina with respected international grapes, notably Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer and Riesling. Maria Antónia Pinto de Azevedo Mascarenhas, great‑granddaughter of the founder Manoel Pinto de Azevedo, is the current owner. She has been steering the estate’s vision in its winemaking since assuming control in 1994. Her daughter Maria will be the fourth generation of women directly involved in the property’s management.
