Casal de Vale Pradinhos is a 450‑hectare agricultural estate founded in 1913 and owned by the Pinto de Azevedo family ever since. The wines produced here blend indigenous varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Malvasia Fina with renowned international grapes, namely Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer and Riesling. Maria Antónia Pinto de Azevedo Mascarenhas, great‑granddaughter of the founder Manoel Pinto de Azevedo, is the current owner. She has been steering the estate’s vision for the wines since taking control in 1994, and her daughter Maria will be the fourth generation of women directly involved in its management.
