This Quinta da Calçada Verdejo is a delightful reminder that tradition doesn’t have to be boring – it can be remarkably vibrant. The nose immediately conjures a morning breeze across the Dão, offering bright citrus notes of lemon intertwined with wild berry and a subtle hint of bay leaf, the key to its identity. On the palate, it’s a wonderfully fresh and structured wine, with a medium body, ideally paired with grilled white fish or a succulent chicken grill. And, as you’d expect, it’s already garnered a gold medal at the Vila Nova de Gaia International Wine Competition.
