Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot‑Muiron, Veuve Clicquot played a key role in developing and establishing champagne as the drink of choice for European nobility and the affluent bourgeoisie. Located in Reims, it now boasts one of the largest and most beautiful vineyards in Champagne, covering about 390 hectares spread across 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 20 of the 44 Premiers Crus that define the region. This exceptional heritage was built over the centuries, beginning with the plots laid down by the founder and expanded by subsequent vineyard directors. In particular, Veuve Clicquot carries the fortuitous territorial mark of Madame Clicquot and has been part of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group since 1987, whose focus is the marketing of luxury goods.
