Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot‑Muiron, Veuve Clicquot played an important role in the development and foundation of champagne as the drink of choice for European nobility and the wealthy bourgeoisie. Located in Reims, it now boasts one of the largest and most beautiful vineyards in Champagne, covering around 390 hectares, divided among 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 20 of the 44 Premiers Crus that make up the entire region. This exceptional heritage has been built over the centuries, based on parcels initially established by the founder and expanded by the directors of subsequent vineyards. In particular, Veuve Clicquot carries the fortuitous territorial brand of Madame Clicquot and has been part of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group since 1987, whose focus is the marketing of luxury goods.
