Old wine bottles may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is expected given their age. The National Wine Cellar commits to storing all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that reflects their age. We select brands/regions that, by nature, reveal distinct characteristics in old wine tastings. However, we want to inform you that wine is a living organism that ages over time, and even within a bottle, its aromas evolve in different ways. Therefore, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years sealed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure to do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which an old wine tends to produce. (illustrative image only)
