The bottles of old wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is normal for their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that comes with age. We select brands/regions that, as a rule, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism that ages over time, and even inside a bottle its aromas can evolve in various ways. Consequently, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, which will help release its natural aromas after so many years sealed. If you decide to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect any sediment that an old wine tends to develop. (Illustrative image)
