This wine from the Maipo Valley, from Viña Haras de Pirque, feels pulled straight from a storybook. The Antinori family, with their lineage stretching back to 1385, ensures the wine carries six centuries of winemaking tradition – and a surprising boldness, considering the Maipo’s reputation for freshness. The high altitude and native vegetation – murtas and boldos – contribute a remarkably intense, almost balsamic aromatic profile. It’s a sophisticated wine, certainly, but one that still retains a delightful, audacious streak. Perfect with freshly grilled fish or a Mediterranean salad, really.
