The bottles of the old wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is normal given their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We conduct a selection of brands and regions that, in general, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we want to make it clear that wine is a living organism that, over time, even when sealed in a bottle, its aromas evolve in various ways. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, since it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years of being sealed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, be patient so you can detect the sediment that an old wine tends to develop. (Illustrative image only)
