Vinha da Foz The Quinta da Foz is situated in the heart of the Douro wine region, in the Cima Corgo sub-region, in the parish of Gouvães do Douro, Sabrosa, and its vineyards are bordered by the confluence of the Pinhão and Douro rivers. Today, the estate is dedicated to producing high‑quality table wines and resumed port wine production in 2012. The success comes from its old vines, the quality of the grapes, and the rigorous, professional work of its winemaking team. The grapes come from vineyards at an altitude of approximately 500 m, with the harvest timed to achieve the ideal grape maturity. The grapes are harvested in the morning to keep them fresh when they arrive at the cellar. The pressing is carried out with whole grapes in a pneumatic press; the must is decanted at 8 °C for 48 hours, then fermented in stainless‑steel tanks at controlled temperature.
