This white wine from Vinha da Urze, produced by the Roboredo family, delivers a wonderfully refreshing experience, underpinned by a surprisingly complex mineral profile. Crafted from the traditional Rabigato, Viosinho, and Códega do Larinho grapes – sourced from centenary vines in the Douro Superior – the wine is produced in a cellar where modern techniques meet absolute control. Extended fermentation at 12-16°C, combined with the skillful ‘batonnage’ (keeping the lees in suspension), results in a remarkable texture and depth. A perfect pairing for grilled fish or shellfish, it’s a reliably excellent expression of the Douro’s rigorous winemaking heritage.
