This Vinho dos Santos, hailing from the very heart of the Douro, delivers a seriously intense journey through the local vineyards. Primarily crafted with traditional Touriga Nacional and Dão grapes, it boasts a wonderfully vibrant acidity and a full body, very much in keeping with the region’s character. Apparently, it’s complex enough to pair beautifully with a generous helping of Bacalhau à Brás – a delightful contrast, as the producer rightly suggests. And, crucially, it earned a respectable 90 points from Revista de Canais, so you know it’s a wine worth taking seriously.
