A 58% cocoa dark chocolate bar, fresh and intense, that blends the richness of cocoa with the refreshing and irresistible notes of mint. Made with native Peruvian Amazon cocoa, this chocolate showcases the authenticity of a rare origin—only 1 % of Peru’s production comes from this region. The mint comes from Alondroal, Alentejo, adding an aromatic and balanced touch that complements the chocolate’s intensity. The cocoa is grown in Tamshiyacu, Iquitos (Loreto Region, Peru), in a sustainable 1,400‑hectare plantation at the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Studies show that Loreto soils are naturally cadmium‑free, ensuring purer and safer cocoa. Tamshi has developed an innovative agroforestry system on 650 hectares where cocoa trees grow in harmony with native forest species, promoting biodiversity and soil regeneration. The native Amazonian plant Commelina is used as ground cover, and 95 % of the organic matter produced by the cocoa trees during the post‑harvest process is reused as natural fertilizer, boosting soil biological activity and reducing chemical fertilizer use. The company controls all stages of cultivation and post‑harvest, and has the first quality control and traceability laboratory on a Peruvian cocoa plantation. Beyond environmental commitment, Tamshi has a strong social impact, directly employing over 2,500 people and supporting hundreds of farming families through training, reforestation and sustainability programs.
