In 1942, the company CAVES IMPÉRIO – Imperial Vinícola, Lda was founded, dedicated to the production of wines and liqueurs, adopting the designation CAVES IMPÉRIO, S.A. in 1981. In 1943, thanks to its location and the commitment of its partners, the first warehouse and cellar were built for wine ageing and for the production of natural sparkling wines by the Champagne method. In the following years the facilities were expanded, the product range broadened, and the quality refined to satisfy the most demanding consumer. (illustrative image only)
