In 1942, the company CAVES IMPÉRIO – Imperial Vinícola, Lda was founded, dedicated to producing wines and liqueurs, and it adopted the designation CAVES IMPÉRIO, S.A. in 1981. By 1943, thanks to its location and the commitment of its partners, the first storage building and cellar for ageing wines and producing natural sparkling wines by the champagne method were built. Over the following years, the facilities were expanded, the product range broadened, and the quality refined to satisfy the most demanding consumers. (illustrative image only)
