In 1942, the company CAVES IMPÉRIO – Imperial Vinícola, Lda was founded, dedicated to the production of wines and liqueurs, and in 1981 adopted the name CAVES IMPÉRIO, S.A. Just a year later, in 1943, thanks to its location and the commitment of its partners, the first warehouse and cellar were built for ageing wines and for producing natural sparkling wines by the Champagne method. In subsequent years the facilities were expanded, the product range broadened, and quality was refined to satisfy the most discerning consumer. (illustrative image only)
