In 1942, the firm CAVES IMPÉRIO – Imperial Vinícola, Lda, was established, dedicated to the production of wines and liqueurs, and in 1981 it adopted the name CAVES IMPÉRIO, S.A. By 1943, thanks to its location and the dedication of its partners, the first warehouse and cellar were built for wine ageing and the production of natural sparkling wines using the Champagne method. Over the following years the facilities expanded, the product range broadened, and the quality was refined to satisfy even the most demanding consumer. (illustrative image only)
