In 1942, CAVES IMPÉRIO – Imperial Vinícola, Lda was founded, dedicated to the production of wines and liqueurs. By 1981 it adopted the designation CAVES IMPÉRIO, S.A. Just a year later, in 1943, the company’s location and the commitment of its partners enabled the construction of its first warehouse and cellar for ageing wines and for producing natural sparkling wines using the champagne method. In the years that followed the facilities were expanded, its range of products broadened, and its quality refined to satisfy even the most discerning consumer.
