In 1942, the company CAVES IMPÉRIO - Imperial Vinícola, Lda was established, dedicated to the production of wines and liqueurs, and in 1981 it adopted the designation CAVES IMPÉRIO, S.A. In 1943, thanks to its location and the dedication of its partners, the first warehouse and cellar for ageing wines and producing natural sparkling wines by the champagne method were built.
