In 1942 the firm CAVES IMPÉRIO – Imperial Vinícola, Lda was founded, dedicated to the production of wines and liqueurs, and in 1981 it adopted the designation CAVES IMPÉRIO, S.A. By 1943, thanks to its location and the commitment of its partners, the first warehouse and cellar for ageing wines and for producing natural sparkling wines by the Champenoise method were built. Over the following years the facilities were expanded, the product range broadened, and the quality refined to satisfy even the most demanding consumer. (image purely illustrative)
