In 1942, the firm CAVES IMPÉRIO – Imperial Vinícola, Lda was founded, dedicated to the production of wines and liqueurs, and in 1981 it adopted the name CAVES IMPÉRIO, S.A. By 1943, thanks to its location and the commitment of its partners, the first storage warehouse and cellar for wine ageing and for the production of natural sparkling wines by the Champagne method were built. In subsequent years the facilities expanded, the product range broadened, and quality was refined to satisfy the most demanding consumer. (illustrative image only)
