In 1942, the company CAVES IMPÉRIO – Imperial Vinícola, Lda was established, dedicated to the production of wines and liqueurs, adopting in 1981 the designation CAVES IMPÉRIO, S.A. The following year, in 1943, thanks to its location and the dedication of its partners, the first warehouse and cellar for wine ageing and production of natural sparkling wines by the Champagne method were built. In the following years, the facilities were expanded, its product range broadened, and its quality refined to satisfy the most demanding consumer. (illustrative image only)
