This Xisto Indie Douro is a real revelation – it feels like it quite literally sprung from the schistous soils of the Douro. You get a fantastic intensity from the Touriga Nacional, balanced beautifully by the elegance of the Dão grapes. The concentration and ripe red fruit flavours – reminiscent of the terroir itself – suggest it’ll benefit from further aging. Seriously, this would pair brilliantly with a hearty venison stew. A safe bet, wouldn't you agree?
