Howard's Folly is an innovative partnership between entrepreneur Howard Bilton and winemaker David Baverstock. It is an urban winery located in the historic town of Estremoz, dedicated to producing small batches of premium, award-winning wines using grapes from old vines, primarily from the cooler climate of the Portalegre area in the Serra de São Mamede sub-region, as well as the Monção and Melgaço regions for Alvarinho. The project also has a philanthropic mission, supporting an arts-based charity for underprivileged children, the Sovereign Art Foundation.
