Soalheiro is a third-generation family-owned winery in the Vinho Verde region of northern Portugal, near Melgaço. They were the first to plant a continuous Alvarinho vineyard in Melgaço in 1974, and they created the first Alvarinho brand there in 1982. They are known for their excellent wines and a completely organic approach to farming.
