Going from a bulk wine supplier to becoming a benchmark for the Madeira wine region is remarkable. Everything happened in 1991 when Ricardo Freitas joined the family business and, together with his Japanese partners Kinoshita, decided to turn Barbeito into one of the most important Madeira wine producers.
