The Horácio Simões Agricultural Estate, founded by José Carvalho Simões in 1910, is a centuries-old house, now run by the third generation of the family. The winery is located at Quinta do Anjo, in Palmela, an area renowned for producing wines of recognized quality. Its wines are vinified in lagares (traditional stone or concrete treading vats) using purely artisanal and traditional methods. The bottling year may not correspond to the vintage shown in the image.
