In the 18th century, owner Jean Belso had the Château de Loupiac built. In 1854, Reinhold Dezeimeris—renowned in the region for being one of the leading producers who fought the phylloxera outbreak—settled at the château, and later, in 1919, sold the property to Camille Ducau, the grandfather of Marc Ducau, who had already owned the neighboring Château Pontac since 1886. Thus began the story of a family business spanning six generations. The Château de Loupiac occupies 30 hectares of vineyards, 26 of which are dedicated to producing white wine from the AOC Loupiac and 4 to the AOC Bordeaux. The grapes, harvested exclusively by hand, yield wines with a brilliant, vivid profile. (Illustrative image only)
