This Douro Arinto certainly doesn’t shout about itself – it holds a wonderfully vibrant acidity, reminiscent of the region’s heated stone. It’s a wine that quite deliberately subverts the notion of a straightforward white, unveiling beautiful mineral notes and a refreshing lift that’s clearly rooted in its hillside terroir. As you’d expect from a wine that’s snagged a Decanter World Wine Award, the producer clearly knows what they’re doing. Pairs beautifully with grilled fish or a seafood rice dish.
