The red wine A Serenada Y14 Grauvaque is made from Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Carignan grapes, sourced from a vineyard planted in 1970 on slate soils with grauvaque and clay. After fermenting in “spin barrel” barrels and aging for eight months in stainless‑steel tanks, it entices with aromas of dark and red fruits—raspberries, blackberries and cherries—alongside hints of pepper, vegetables, roasted coffee and licorice. On the palate it is complex, balancing tannins and acidity. A Serenada’s winemaking is a family project carried out in the house’s own cellar, where naturally poor organic soils rich in iron contribute to the wine’s distinctive mineral character.
