Located in the district of Évora, a territory with ancient origins dating back to pre‑historic times, Herdade da Madeira Velha carries with it the memory of a unique land. Its name evokes the poet Luís de Camões, who, according to legend, supposedly lived here in 1548. This wine is a tribute to the Abelharuco, a bird with an unmistakable song, companion of the Alentejo harvests. It is the combination of the terroir of the grapes and the know‑how that gives rise to an exceptionally elegant wine, made from grapes harvested at their perfect ripeness from the varieties Aragonez, Trincadeira, Syrah, and Alicante Bouschet.
