Adrianna Vineyard River Malbec, known until the 2018 harvest as River Stone, continues to be a single‑vineyard wine whose origin, as its former name implied, lies in its limestone terroir covered by white oval alluvial stones. These stones not only provide ideal drainage but also help the vines adapt to the extreme temperatures of Gualtallary. The Malbec that grows there gives rise to extraordinarily aromatic, concentrated, and opulent reds, like this one from Catena Zapata, which can be enjoyed young or kept for many years.
