This Ajuda, harvested under the cloak of night, certainly delivers an elegant experience. Initially, you’re greeted with ripe red fruit aromas – think beautifully preserved compotes – alongside a subtle, almost medicinal, balsamic note. On the palate, the vibrant acidity is beautifully cushioned by remarkably mature and balanced tannins, a testament to the generous contribution of its diverse grape blend: Aragonez, Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet. It finishes luxuriously and lingers, perfect for a good chat – or perhaps paired with some grilled red meat.
