Akilia Joven Mencía is the freshest, most direct and lively expression of Mario Rovira’s personal project in the Bierzo DO. It comes from young Mencía vines planted on the Fontairo (San Lorenzo) plot, on a west‑facing slope with clay‑loam soils over slate and quartzite. Made in a handcrafted, respectful manner, the wine is fermented and aged exclusively in stainless‑steel and concrete tanks, preserving the varietal identity intact without any oak influence. It is a lively and expressive red, highlighted by a pure fruit character, Atlantic freshness and an exceptionally pleasant, intuitive sip.
