This Douro wine from Quinta da Pedra Escrita is a truly delightful creation by enologist Rui Roboredo. You can almost feel the cool nights of the Douro Superior – brimming with those signature violet and black fruit notes – brought in by grapes from Jaén, Sousão, Aragonez and Touriga Nacional. The new French oak barrels add a touch of elegance without masking the wine's refreshing vibrancy, a testament to the granite and sandy soils of the region. A wine with serious potential, best enjoyed with a perfectly grilled beef steak and some roasted potatoes, naturally.
