Description

This Alabastro Reserva, straight from the Alentejo, certainly had a spirited youth – nine months ageing in American oak barrels. The result is a deeply ruby hue that delivers exactly what it promises: intensely ripe red fruits, almost as if kissed by the Alentejo sun. Classic oak notes of vanilla and toasted wood add a touch of elegance, while the palate is wonderfully smooth and full-bodied, with a persistence that suggests this wine might have enjoyed its own company a little *too* much. Perfect with grilled beef – a wine with a decidedly strong character, wouldn't you agree?
