Description

The Altas Quintas Reserva‑DO 2015 is an Alentejano red wine of great elegance and depth, made from the finest Alicante Bouschet and Trincadeira grapes of the harvest. After a pre‑fermentative cold maceration and temperature‑controlled fermentation in French oak vats, it aged on the lees and in French oak barrels for 24 months. With a very complex aroma, it offers an excellent balance, depth, and immense elegance on the palate. The Altas Quintas project was born from a desire to produce in Alentejo wines with distinct characteristics for discerning drinkers. The difference in its wines starts with the vineyard locations that give rise to them—planted on a plateau at 600 meters altitude in the heart of Alentejo. Alongside terroir, the strongest trait of this project is an obsession with difference, always striving to extract the maximum quality from the raw material that produces these Alentejano wines.
