This Alento Reserva is clearly aiming for a bold experience, having been hand-picked – a true taste of the Alentejo. That extended maceration, fuelled by the warmth favoured by Syrah and Aragonez, has unleashed some wonderfully complex aromas. A year ageing in 300L French oak barrels has then expertly balanced the richness of these robust grapes with some delightful elegance. It’s a fantastic match for a hearty, grilled beef dish – something with a bit of character, you might say.
